Well, between work (I had been off work for a year and a half...yes this work schedule thing is throwing me off!!) and the Canada Post strike....I have not been too busy with the cards....This was actually a thank you card that I made for the woman who placed me in my job.

I love my new job, it is exactly the kind of job that I wanted, even though I couldn't really pinpoint what it was that I wanted to do. I thought she deserved a card.

For the love of Paperlace

I had 2 thank you cards to do today. I really like the Paperlace cartidge for making "the main event" of the card be just the words themselves.

The bottom card just has 2 different flower stamps, and I used clear emboss on them. Simple, but with just the right amount of "oomph".

I made a thank you note to send to the woman who made the fantastic and beautiful cookies for the wedding shower. this was actually the second attempt. The first one, I had cut out a very pretty "Thank you" with the Cricut, but it didn't have a shadow option, and on the original card it just didn't pop enough. And the letters were too delicate to put pop dots behind it. So second attempt had a simple stamp (from a new set that I have been anxious to try out). I love the added element from embossing the background paper.
